I am semi-retired after working as a professional Agronomist for state and federal government agencies. This job consisted of helping farmers and ranchers meet their crop production and conservation goals. This required constant training and providing technical assistance. Also my duties included managing a field office, several programs and staff. This was great job because there was alot of satisfaction with wanting people grow. Very similar to growing crops as it took alot of nuturing through coaching and being there for them when needed.
After being forced to retire because of health issues it was like my world was shattered but now I find myself rising from the ashes. I feel good after a long rehab from a number of surgeries. I live for the moment because thats all we have. The past is history and the future is a mystery.
I have been married for 20 years to a loving wife. We have one son who will be 17 this February. my intersts include growing a garden on our 20 acres. Also, I have a small green house. Physical fitness has been my saving grace. It gives me stamina and a clear mind. My mornings are spent in the gym where i have friends who I work out with. I also ride motorcycles and travel when I can.
