Dreamer vs. Doer—The Great Separator

One thing separates the dreamer and the doer.


It also separates the wishful from the wealthy.


Two people can have the same capabilities,

same hope and same aspiration,

but have radically different outcomes.



One acted and the other did not.


ACTION is the great separator.


Right now, there are opportunities, ideas, dreams or aspirations in your life that you know you SHOULD act on, you WANT to act on, but you are afraid to do so.


Oh, you might be excusing your lack of action by your telling yourself you don’t know what to do, how to do it or if it will work out.


I can tell you firsthand, nothing I have ever accomplished had I done before.


I have been in wildly different industries: from the direct selling of environmental products, to real estate, to television, to educational software, to Internet media, to publishing and more.


None of these industries was I educated or trained to be in;



I had no experience in any of them previously—I just jumped in and started. And the outcomes evolved in ways well beyond what I could have planned for or envisioned at the beginning, meaning all the paralysis by analysis is useless anyway because it will never work out as you plan.


The key is to just get started.


Someone said to me recently, “You don’t have to see the whole staircase to take the first step.” That’s the key—just take the first step. Then when you do, take another. One at a time—one after another.


Before you know it you will have risen to the top of an industry, maybe heights you could never have allowed yourself to dream of and set goals for, simply because you jumped in and got started.


That’s all it takes, ACTION.

When you look to find new business partners in a cold market, you should ONLY ever focus on people actively looking to make money from home. It is a waste of your time to pursue anybody who has not recently demonstrated that desire.


OK. Let's divide "people who want to make money from home" into 2 categories:


Those who have experience in MLM.

Those who don't.

Spotting MLM Cutthroats

At the bottom of page 11 of Success In 10 Steps, you see a reference to "greed and ego." That gives you another good point to make with your prospect.


Prospects don't come into this process thinking about "greed & ego". But if they have experience in MLM, there's a good chance they've already run into the problem. It's worthwhile pointing out that the greed & ego of sponsors and/or companies is one of the reasons so many prospects are never successful in network marketing.


Let them know how important it is to have their radar up and operating sensitively.


This doesn't mean you search for some Pollyanna who lives their life only for others. Putting yourself first is the natural order.


What it does mean is that you MUST avoid sponsors whose goal is to be successful no matter who they have to step on. You want someone who is determined to be successful by creating those win-win relationships with others.


A lot of times, you can actually hear this in their voice and in what they say about the business and about others. One of these clowns once told me that 95% of all prospects were dead wood, and he just kicked them out of the way. Not only was he proud of it, but he thought anyone who didn't do that was a fool. What more could you possibly need to know about this guy?


So you've got to watch and listen and train yourself to spot "greed & ego" before you join a company where you are smack-dab in the middle of it. Your best bet is definitely to avoid it from the start. Once you are in a group dominated by the greed and/or ego of its leader(s), you are lost. It's a situation you must train yourself to see and walk away from.

How To Generate Leads for Your MLM Business

A lot of kids love "Paint By Numbers" kits. You know the ones - a beautiful picture on the front of the box. Inside, you have 3 or 4 brushes, maybe 20 different little paint jars, and a board with numbers all over it - each number corresponding to one of the paint jars.


Then you just paint by numbers. You don't have to be an artist. Just follow the formula, You can create a pretty nice painting ... almost like you knew what you were doing.


Market1ng is a lot like that. In market1ng, you track your ads and your results - your numbers. Then you try something else, and track your numbers again. Then you compare your numbers, and keep doing what works better.

Monks, mold, & MLM secrets

Many people believe the best thing for them to do to have success is to study books on specific products and services. They read books on how some monk who fasts 6 days a week, wears a special linen robe spun from the finest silk worms, and how he scrapes mold off the dark side of rocks 3 feet under an algae cover pond on some unknown mountain. Or they study how some "whatcha-ma-call-it" connects to their "thing-a-ma-gig" for their long distance service they offer.


I think you get the picture. The big question you should be asking yourself through all of this is What's your product? Is it pills and potions? Is it skin care? Is it cell phones? Is it-? I could list hundreds, but I won't. I am willing to guess that like most people, you may not have a clue. That's okay.
